Tatum Tracks Through Time
in search of...

Old Friends

It's the stillness of the day,
and you are feeling sentimental,
then ol' Henry comes to memory,
which is purely incidental.

The years that turned to decades,
seem eternities of days;
and then you sigh and wonder why
your friendship parted ways.

Your first instinct's to search around
the social media clubs.
If they're not found, you start to hound
those information hubs.

It soon becomes a challenge,
and you've come up empty-handed,
and you admit you lack the grit
that this search has demanded.

So you conclude you won't pursue
your friend's proximity,
and you end the sweep and let them keep
their anonymity.

Now, you're back where you started,
and your pondering your day.
Some people tend to hide from friends,
and some just fade away.
